At Haymond Personnel, we believe that finding the right role shouldn’t be complicated. From your first application to the moment you receive a job offer, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Whether you’re applying for temporary labour hire, permanent employment or short-term contract work, here’s what you can expect throughout our candidate recruitment process.
1. Apply
Start your journey by applying for one of our advertised roles – either directly through our website or via job platforms such as SEEK.
We welcome applications from motivated individuals who meet the role requirements and are ready to contribute to a dynamic, skilled workforce. Be sure to include a up-to-date resume and relevant experience so our recruitment team can quickly identify your strengths.
2. Screen
Once your application is received, our recruitment consultants carefully review your submission to confirm you meet the key selection criteria.
This initial screening process helps us understand your background, qualifications and experience so we can match you to suitable opportunities.
3. Shortlist
Candidates who best align with the advertised position and demonstrate the right skills, attitude and availability will move to our shortlist stage.
By shortlisting only the most suitable applicants, we ensure our clients are introduced to qualified candidates and that you’re considered for roles where you can truly excel.
4. Internal Interview
Shortlisted candidates are invited to take part in an internal interview. We begin with a phone screen to confirm details and expectations, then arrange an in-depth interview with one of our recruiters.
This is your chance to discuss your experience, career goals and workplace preferences, helping us identify the right cultural fit for both you and the employer.
5. Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Testing
(if applicable)
For certain industries – such as manufacturing, logistics or construction, candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment medical or drug and alcohol test.
These assessments ensure you’re physically fit for the role and that safety and compliance standards are met. We coordinate this process seamlessly with both candidates and clients.
6. Reference Checks
Before we submit your profile to a client, we conduct at least two professional reference checks to verify your work history, reliability and performance.
This step gives employers confidence in your experience — and ensures transparency for everyone involved.
7. Submit to Client
Once all internal checks are complete, your candidate profile is presented to the client for consideration.
Our team highlights your relevant experience, achievements and skills to ensure your strengths are clearly communicated.
8. Client Interview
(if applicable)
While many clients trust our recruitment team to handle the full placement process, some prefer to meet candidates directly.
If a client interview is required, we’ll brief you beforehand so you’re fully prepared -including insights on the company, the role and what to expect.
9. Job Offer & Onboarding
Successful candidates receive a formal job offer. From there, our consultants coordinate the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and positive start.
We’ll guide you through paperwork, inductions and any site-specific requirements so you can begin your new role with confidence.
Why Our Recruitment Process Works
Our candidate recruitment process is designed to be transparent, supportive and efficient – ensuring that every placement is the right fit for both candidate and client.
By combining industry expertise, personalised guidance and proactive communication, we help job seekers find meaningful, long-term opportunities across a wide range of industries.
